CampFest 2026 Welcomes Area Families and Campers on October 18

Free Community Event hosted by One Happy Camper/Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ Features 20+ Camps, Fun Zone Games, Ultimate Camp Canteen, and Grant/Scholarship Opportunities

CampFest 2026, a free community event hosted by One Happy Camper NJ and Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ, will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 12-2 p.m. in Westfield. For optimal security, people can visit www.jfedgmw.org/campfest26 to register and then the address will be provided to each guest in the day(s) prior to the event.

CampFest offers families a wonderful opportunity for anyone considering sleepaway camp for 2027, 2028, (and beyond!) to directly meet representatives from more than 20 Jewish camps all in one place-ensuring the right fit for children of all ages, interests, and abilities. This is the largest Jewish camp fair in Greater MetroWest NJ and the first time this signature event will be held in Union County.

Attendees will enjoy an array of Camp-style Activities in the Fun Zone along with a Custom Swag Station and Gourmet Ice Cream Cart. In addition to a family-friendly lunch, the Ultimate Camp Canteen will provide a taste of camp treats (kosher, with gluten-free options available). The PJ Library Corner will serve as the perfect spot for those seeking a cozy space.

Camp experts will be on hand to provide a wealth of guidance and information about available grants and scholarships from One Happy Camper NJ, a free resource of Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ that connects local families with the amazing array of Jewish camps and summer programs. Driving a culture of inclusion, there’s sure to be a camp for everyone. Many Jewish camps joyfully welcome and support interfaith and multiheritage campers and families. Further, there are numerous inclusion opportunities for campers with disabilities.

“CampFest gives families the chance to meet many great camps and experience

some of the magic that makes it so special in a fun-filled afternoon” said camp parent and CampFest Committee Member Merisa Lavie of Westfield. “Camp is where my kids feel a true sense of belonging. At Jewish summer camp, both of my kids have had the opportunity to make new friendships, develop confidence, and enhance their Jewish pride. These are all things that stay with them throughout the year and they truly #live10for2.”
