Jacob’s Mitzvah Project

A SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM JACOB ROTHSTEIN

Hi Friends and Family!

I am so excited to become a Bar Mitzvah on December 21! A huge part of being a Jewish adult is to participate in Tikkun Olam, or acts of kindness, to help improve the world. If you know me, you know that I LOVE going to sleepaway camp at Cedar Lake Camp every summer. But I realize that not every kid is as fortunate as me to be able to attend camp – not only is the tuition expensive, but so is all the STUFF that we have to bring! Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest has a committee that helps to provide scholarships for kids in our community to attend Jewish sleepaway camp, called the Rocker Family Scholarship Program. In addition to providing the scholarship, Federation also provides duffle bags filled with items for the campers to bring to camp! I will be helping to pack these bags in May!

What I am asking for you to do is to help contribute certain items we need to fill the duffle bags:

WHAT:  2-pack of sunscreen, bug spray, or a shower caddy; and monetary donations ($18+ suggested) are also welcome.

WHEN:  October 20 – December 10, 2025

WHY:  To help send kids to sleepaway camp with all the essentials!

WHERE:  Donations (supplies or checks) can be dropped off at our house or sent via Zelle to my mom, Lidiya Rothstein at 973-558-3243.

Thank you so much for helping to make my Bar Mitzvah project a success.
