Description
CLTC is where emerging AZA and BBG leaders take the next step in their journey. Designed for 9th and 10th grade members, it’s a place to explore your potential, practice leadership in real ways, and grow into the leader your chapter, community, and future self needs. From the moment you arrive, CLTC welcomes you into a space where individuality is celebrated, everyone is supported, and each teen can discover their “why.” Here, you’ll learn by doing, connect deeply, and find your people. With teens from across the Movement, your leadership journey comes alive through hands-on programming, Jewish learning, and classic summer experiences—sports, music, lake adventures, and more. With four sessions at the Commonpoint Retreat Center, CLTC gives you the flexibility to shape your summer—and your leadership journey.

Fara Gold & Sara Nussbaum Schumacher
Fara, BBYO’s AVP of Camp Leadership shares her love and enthusiasm for camp by planning, organizing, and running all our summer camp & leadership programs. She makes an impact by creating experiences that build the foundation for future Jewish leaders while creating memories that will last a lifetime. Fara is a long-time camper and staffer, lives in Orlando, FL with her husband,2 daughters, and dog, and truly lives 10 months for 2!
Sara, BBYOs Senior Director of Camp Leadership, loves making summers an unforgettable journey to remember—combining her love for camp, creativity, and development to create a space where teens can thrive. She is passionate about teens connecting, discovering their passions, and forming lifelong friendships! Sara has a master’s degree in Camp Leadership & Administration, which reignited her passion for camp. She is based out of Southern New Jersey with her husband (who she met while working at camp), her English Bulldog, and her growing family.
